In a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards have pretty much confirmed that the Stones will keep on Rolling through 2013.
Mick said: "There have been quite a few offers. I'm going to see what's on the table and discuss it with everyone... We'll announce it when we've figured it out."
Keith said: "Really, all you're going to have to do is wait for an announcement." He said that the five "50 and Counting" shows "went like a dream, at the same speed, man. But we barely got off the starting blocks. It would be dopey to bring things up to this level and say, 'Well, that's that, 50 years, bye-bye.'"
Recently, the Facebook page for American music festival Coachella posted a New Years greeting featuring a picture of a Rolling Stones - a hint that the band may headline the festival in April. However, Mick Jagger denied that rumour, saying "We're not going to do Coachella because it's too early. There was a rumor we were gonna do that one, but it's very early, Coachella. It's April or something, isn't it? And we're not gonna be ready to go by April."
With at least three/four months to go before the Stones will be 'ready', they must be planning something big! We may even see a tour stretching into early 2014!
The sell out "50 and Counting" tour shows that the band can charge whatever they want and people will still pay up, so the question is how much are you willing to pay?
