Rolling Stones to begin recording new album this year

Ronnie Wood has let slip that the Stones intend to lay down "some groundwork" for a new album before Christmas.

"We'll maybe go in the studio in December and cut a few tracks and see what happens," he told ABC Radio. "We'll take it from there, see how it all goes. One thing at a time."

Keith Richards has previously revealed that he's eager to record a new Stones album, but not until after the Latin American tour in 2016. He said, "I would like to get in the studio around April or May next year. It's been too long."

So it looks like we're getting a new album at some point, but when? Who knows.
