Rolling Stones nominated for Best Live Act in the BRIT awards

The Rolling Stones have been nominated for the BRIT award of Best Live Act.

By PATRICK - January 22, 2013
The Rolling Stones have been nominated for the BRIT award of Best Live Act. After playing five amazing and lucrative shows for their "50 And Counting" tour in 2012, it would not go undeserved.

Keith Richards said: "Onstage is where we belong. When I'm up there with Mick, Charlie and Ronnie, everything is rocking, so a big thanks to BRIT fans..."

Mick Jagger said: "We all had such a blast, everyone was at the top of their game, and the hometown audiences at The O2 were just fantastic. It's great to be nominated ..we will see you soon."

Mick's quote further fuels the fire of rumours circulating that the band will perform another tour in 2013.

The Stones have had previous BRIT nominations in 1977 (Best British Group), 1995 (Best British Video) and 1996 (Best British Video) - but are yet to win one. Could this year be their first time stepping up to the award-stage?
