Mary J. Blige and Gary Clark Jr. to join Rolling Stones at first US concert
December 4, 2012Gary Clark Jr. and Mary J. Blige will join the Rolling Stones on stage for a song each at the first show of the US leg of their '50 and Counting' tour on 8th December at New York City's Barclay's Center.
It is likely that Blige will perform the female vocal part on Gimme Shelter, as she did during the first London show on 25th November (see video above).
Gary will follow Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton and probably play on a blues number, such as Champagne and Reefer (rehearsed and performed with Clapton - see below). Gary has previously played alongside Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, albeit separately - with Mick at the White House in celebration of blues music and with Keith at a benefit concert in honour of blues guitarist Hubert Sumlin.
Do you have a ticket? If not, keep an eye on Viagogo as tickets gradually decrease in price in the lead up to the event.
