In March of 1966, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote the song 'Out of Time' for their the album 'Aftermath', but the song rose to fame when it was recorded and released by singer Chris Farlowe that same year. 40-odd years later, it has become the subject of a new documentary.
The film, produced by Triple A Films, is to be called 'Out of Time: A Film About Chris Farlowe'. Farlowe talks about how he was a little apprehensive about using the song when Jagger first played it for him. Farlowe says, "One day Mick rang me up from his home and said, 'I've got a couple of songs I've written for you, come on down and listen to it (sic).' "He got the guitar and he strummed Out of Time out and then I said, 'I dunno about this Mick'. And he said, 'Don't worry about it... When we get down to the studio, it's gonna be totally different', and of course it was all cellos and orchestra. "It was number one, a smash all over the place. It's a classic record and that's how it was written for me. But I didn't like it when I first heard it." Chris Farlowe continues to tour to this day, with 'Out of Time' being his best known hit.
