History and recording

Disc one comprises the original album. A few tracks, such as "Sister Morphine", were recorded as early as late 1969/early 1970. However, most of the album was recorded during summer/autumn of 1970 at Mick Jagger's estate mansion, Stargroves, making use of the their mobile studio truck.

Tracks 1 - 5 of Disc two comprise outtakes from the original studio sessions. Tracks 6 - 10 were recorded at a live show by the band at the London Roundhouse on 14th March 1971. Disc three is entirely comprised of a show the band played at Leeds University on 13th March 1971. The show was previously distributed as a bootleg recording under the title, "Get Yer Leeds Lungs Out!".
